JULY 2019 – CALENDAR OF AREA EVENTS

Through September 2 – Blue Star Museum Program
Active military and up to five family members may visit the museum for free. This is a national program honoring our active military and their families, thanking them for their service. The program makes it possible for military families to spend quality time together exploring museums throughout the county. For a list of other participating museums visit www.arts.gov /

Friday, July 5 – First Friday Artwalk
6 – 10 pm. Free. Beach Boulevard, Gulfport. Stroll the streets as creative and unique vendors line the streets, music fills the air and the shops, galleries and international selection of restaurants remain open late. www.visitgulfportflorida.com

Friday, July 12 – Cinema on the Sand – “The Meg”
Movie begins at 8 pm. Free. Upham Beach Park, St. Pete Beach. Come enjoy some summer fun on the beach with a free movie and food and beverages for sale through Paradise Grille. www.spbrec.com
 
Saturday, July 13 – Second Saturday Artwalk
5 – 9 pm. Free. Explore the arts districts of St. Petersburg with gallery openings, artist receptions, inspiration and insights. Free trolley takes you throughout the city districts.   www.stpeteartsalliance.org
 
Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 – Chihuly Collection Anniversary Celebration
10 am – 5 pm. Chihuly Collection, 719 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. Enjoy $5 admission over the weekend in celebration of the Chihuly Collection’s 9th Anniversary. www.moreanartscenter.or  

Friday, July 26 – Movie on the Beach – Dumb & Dumber

Pinellas County Florida Botanical Gardens and Heritage Village The Florida Botanical Gardens inspires and educates visitors by showcasing flora, fauna, and natural resources in motivational surroundings that promote environmentally friendly techniques. Clearwater Marine Aquarium See Winter and Hope, our local stars from “A Dolphin Tale” movie! You can wonder the Aquarium or take part in the many activities learning about our wild life and our wildlife rescue. There is even a boat tour!
