Thursday, November 7 through Saturday, November 9 – 26th Annual Fall King of the Beach Tournament and Festival

Free family friendly festival. ROC Park, 200 Rex Pl., Madeira Beach. Free concert Friday evening with live entertainment throughout the event. Boat show, vendors, raffles and weigh-ins for one of the biggest payout tournaments with over $225,000 overall, $60,000 first place. Kids fishing slam and activity area. www.oldsaltfishing.org

 

Friday, November 8 through Sunday, November 10 – 32nd Annual Sponge Docks Seafood Festival

Saturday, November 9 – 22nd Annual Veteran’s Boat Parade

9 am – 7 pm. Free to attend. American Legion Post 273, 600 American Legion Dr., Madeira Beach. Open house day with no membership card required. Sunday, November 10 – Chowder Challenge

1 – 5 pm. $15 presale, $20 day of / children 12 and under free with adult ticket. Horan Park, 7701 Boca Ciega Dr., St. Pete Beach. Twenty competitors vie for the title of People’s Choice and woo the celebrity judges with unique and tradition versions of Chowder. Tickets include tastings of each chowder, voting rights, live music and a military induction ceremony in honor of Veteran’s Day. Huge array of raffle prizes and silent auction items. Each year the lighthouse is open for this FINraiser for the preservation of the historic Egmont Key, three miles off shore. 10 am – 5 pm. Free. Treasure Island Beach, 107 th Ave. And Gulf Blvd., Treasure Island. Annual tribute kite festival flying the red, white and blue in honor of our Veterans. Stunt kite demos, bubbles, kite games and general kite flying. Family fun. Night fly weather permitting on Saturday evening with lighted kites. Raffles and silent auction. Wednesday, November 20 through Sunday, November 24 – Sanding Ovations Sand Master Cup Sculpting Competition

Watch the process unfold as sand artists from across the globe creating masterful sand sculptures with judging and awards. Treasure Island Beach, 107th and Gulf Blvd. area. Visit the website for time frames for creating, judging and viewing the final masterpiece.
