Wednesday, October 2 – Ribbon Cutting Alligator Attraction Expansion

12 noon ceremony. Free. The Alligator Attraction, 12973 Village Blvd., John’s Pass, Madeira Beach. Celebrate the opening of the education center for summer camps and birthday parties and more room for rescue creatures. The Alligator Attraction is home to numerous rescued species including reptiles, turtles, pigs and even sloths. Friday, October 11 – Treasure Island Madeira Beach Chamber Charity Golf Tournament

Friday, October 18 through Sunday, October 20 – John’s Pass Seafood Festival

Friday 3 – 11 pm, Saturday 10 am – 11 pm and Sunday 10 am – 6 pm. Free. John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk, Madeira Beach. This years festival kicks off with “Flavors of the Gulf” a ticketed event ($35) featuring local restaurants, craft breweries and mixologists. The arts & crafts vendors will be present on Friday – food trucks will roll in for the remainer of the weekend. Saturday kick off the morning with the Fishy 5K at 9 am. Saturday night hosts the Tampa Bay’s biggest Halloween block party from 7 – 11 pm. There will be food trucks galore serving up the area’s finest seafood and live local music throughout the weekend. Both local and international artists come together to transform the city with blank walls becoming works of art. The festival is now in it’s fifth year with 55 new murals created over this time. An exhibition of the artists will be hosted by the Morean Arts Center.
